I love this store so much! ?It’s the only place close by to buy Vietri and they have a great selection. If you aren’t one of these women.. they’ll still greet you warmly.. but… they won’t know your name… If you need a refined gift for someone who has everything, Salutations IS the place to go. Between luxury bath products, hankies, AMAZING linens, unusual cards, boxes, jewelry, puppy/pet gifts and a baby area… they really do have a little bit of everything… and it’s all amazing quality.They also have custom stationery/cards, etc… The price tags reflect the clientele, but also the quality. I am a huge fan of her designs and the store is so adorable. I always love driving by to see the new window displays. That said, the prices are quite exorbitant and I have never yet been able to justify shelling out the prices charged so I don’t own any Tarina Tarantino Nike Free Run 2 designs myself althought I would love to. What I really respect is her backstory, that she started from nothing, just from making jewelry with her own two hands and she grew it into the huge brand that it is now with no major initial investment, very inspiring!The real value in Tarantino designs in my opinion is the collaborations with the major brand names such as Hello Kitty and Barbie, its like getting two identifiable brands for the price of one.The store has great ambiance, especially great if you love pink….like me!

So, here’s the thing….I cant help but love jewelry designer Tarina Tarantino’s flag ship store, yes, the whole “Melrose” area can be kind of a pain in the ass, yes, there will be little to no parking, and you’re probably going to have to deal with a few douche-y types, ?but, Tarina’s store is far enough down the hood that the douche factor isn’t too high. The store is STUNNING! SHUT UP SHUT UP! Its all pearly and pink and like a little candy covered treasure box, all the merchandising in the store is simply sinful, ethereal trees covered in plumes of purple fluff with sparkly, spangly, stunning hair ornaments hanging off the branches. Every Tarina piece, from every Tarina collection you could possibly imagine, cute little enclaves with toadstool like seating for you to try on glitter encrusted jewels to yours hearts content. Its no suprise to any of my friends that I frequent Tarina’s store, you can tell from looking at one of my shiny rings, or chunky necklaces that I’m more than just a little obsessed with he whimsical fantasmical store.Yes, Tarina’s wares are a little pricey, yeah, if you pile on too much you might look a little tacky, but I think all the risk is absolutely worth it to feel like a pretty pretty princess.

Your item will have to be mailed in to the factory in Downtown Los Angeles, so don’t be in a huge rush to get that item back; takes about 1-2 weeks. Do go to BeadSource in Silverlake to get that same gem replaced (they will glue it for you) for FIVE CENTS; same brand of gem and everything.I have not dealt too much with the store itself; a crystal fell out of my wedding necklace, and I called the store to replace the gem (since I read on yelp that they will replace ‘em for free.)They said they will only repair items purchased from their store only. (I asked “You won’t repair a necklace I paid $400 for?” nope.) All other items (if you purchased them through Sanrio or some other boutique) would have to be sent to the factory. Kind of an ewww.Tarina’s jewelry is beautiful, good quality, and does yank forcefully out the girly girl in you. You want to squeal and coo over every item. This has some awesome cute stuff, especially the Hello Kitty and Alice in Wonderland designs. ?Would make a great gift to someone who likes cute designer jewelry, handcrafted jewelry. ?They also have keychains, hair accessories, and handbags. ?Most of the items are pretty heavy in swavroski crystals and lucite so expect to spend a pretty penny on some of the pieces. ?But the necklaces usually run anywhere from $100-$200. ?Hair accessories $50-$100. ?I feel so girly in there; the place is decked out in pink!
I asked for a medium nude or pink stretch bracelet like the ivory lucite rose one my friend got from Taiwan that I always admired. ?Her mother said it was good luck. ?A couple of Christmases ago my mother-in-law bought it for about $30 from the website and it came in a drawstring bag. ?Its a little tight but cute. ?The same design costs twice as much now because she paired it with a Swarovski crystal.
The pinkest, sparkliest, girlish store ever! ?It is absolutely beautiful. ?There is no way to miss this store because it’s all covered with Swarovski crystals inside and out. ?Amazing! ?The girls who work there are very friendly and were very helpful. ?They have all their products in this store, even if it’s not on their website. ?And the jewelry is the utmost amazing thing I’ve ever seen. ?I simply cannot just drive by Hollywood without coming to this store.
I can be very girly when it comes to jewelry and hair accessories. ?When I first walked in, the little girl in me got very giddy when I saw all the cool baubles on display. ?There were necklaces with Hello Kitty, Wicked The Musical pieces, Barbie, Alice in Wonderland. ?There are also cute floral hair clips. ?I loved them all, the only downside is the price. ?No matter how cute the pieces are, I just can’t bring myself to pay $80 for a bracelet made of plastic beads on an elastic string or $120 for necklaces. ?These jewelry pieces would make awesome gifts, but I just think it is just way overpriced. I went there this weekend and there were some old school L.A. cholita inspired bracelets that were cool, but again, the high price made me hold back on the purchase. ?It’s a fun store to browse around.
this boutique is a shiny pink beacon on melrose avenue. ?imagine if your most girly inner child went buck wild decorating this place with pink, sparkly frou frou-ness. ?all it is missing is a unicorn riding across a rainbow. ?even the doorknob is literally a gem.those ignorant would snort and make some snarky remark about overpriced plastic jewelry. ?but really, they’re just jealous they can’t partake in owning such standout pieces crafted from lucite (not plastic!) and swarovski.shopping tip for the budget fashionista: ask about the cigar boxes. ?they range from $20 to $30 and make perfect hostess gifts.
It’s the prettiest, pinkest slice of heaven all covered in sparkles and driving a limited edition diamond covered Barbie convertible. ?So fun to shop here! ?They have beautiful things that sparkle and shine and designs that make stand out from anything you’ll find at your average fashionista ?jewelry joint – these twinkles are divine! ?They also have a fabulous line of flowers and jewels for your hairdo. The ladies who work here are helpful and knowledgeable and a treat to chat with . . . and they can do magical things with gift wrap.
This place definitely rocks! been going for several years after a friend of mine discovered all the Pink Kitty line she created in cahoots w/Sanrio! Some very cute, and bright baubles to wear!
I love everything that sparkles so Tarina Tarantino is my favorite place to go!!! There store and employees are awsome. Everything in the store kicks ass! I get alot of complements all the time from people I don’t even know. It doesn’t matter what I’m wearing earrings, bracelet, ring, necklace, or flower in my head I always have someone asking me where did I get my stuff. Alot of people freak out when I tell them the price ?and right away they tell me…. Oh you can get something similar for a cheaper price! ?That’s the thing if you know Tarina’s work your not going to settle for anything less and if you’re a true Tarina Tarantino collector you can spot her accessories on another person from a mile away!!
if your anything like me – a super girly girl who loves and enjoys unique handmade sparkly little things then you will grow to love tarina tarantino’s jewelry line. her accessories are a breath of fresh air. grown-up hello kitty and barbie jewelry? what more could a girl ask for! when i wear my acessories i am reminded of my days as a little girl endlessly playing with my barbie dolls and trading hello kitty stickers . her jewelry line even extends to hair accesories and jewelry for dogs! soft hues of cotton candy pinks, yellows, greens, and blues accent her jewelries adorned with swavroski crystals and made from lucite. delicious!y sweet ?for those who prefer a little more edge with a touch of femininity, her skull line would best suit their taste. for those who prefer classic jewelry with simple colors and a touch of sass her mod line would be best. for those who have more refined taste her tea party collection calls your name. and for those [like myself] who want to wear a piece of their childhood with them, you cant ever go wrong with barbie and pink head hello kitty collection. i stopped by her melrose boutique during my summer vacation last year. details are in everything that bears her name. even the outside of the store was adorned with huge hot pink crystals [atleast from what i can recall]. i look forward to visiting her las vegas boutique and adding more unique ?fun sassy tarina tarantino pieces into my accessory box.
So much cute stuff your head will spin and Tarina is the sweetest pink haired goddess on the planet. ?You can feel good about spending ?your money in this place, and look amazing when you wear her pieces!!
i heart the sparkle and the sweet service. a bit pricey but i select pieces wisely and adore them by wearing them often!

In 2005 my husband and I were en route to another jeweler on an upper floor of the building and for some reason we wound up on the floor that holds Mon Cheri.We took a look at what was on display and received answers to questions we asked. ?We still had to keep the appointment on the upper floor, so we went to the other diamond dealer where the diamonds were over priced and not ?of good quality. ?We came back to Mon Cheri.The quality and price was better. They weren’t pushy. ?They were helpful with style and setting ideas and guarantees on their product. Mon Cheri is where we purchased a 2.5 carat diamond plus a diamond loaded Cathedral setting and band which wound up being over 4 carats TW. ?Compared to Cartier or Tiffany – you cannot beat Mon Cheri deals – If you want that kind of quality.They also made me a setting for a diamond necklace that’s a one of a kind “stunner”.I have been buying diamonds wholesale for 25 years and I had bought diamonds at retail prices prior to that. ?If you do your homework (research and shop around, know the 4 C’s) you will know ?they want to do business and they will be competitive to that end. ?Period. ?They have varied price ranges. ?It depends on what you want, what you can afford and what you’re willing to spend.I would recommend this jeweler. ?I am still doing business with them. ?They’re legit. ?I will recommend that my children buy their diamonds from Mon Cheri too.
The staff here is wonderful and not pushy at all. It’s very comforting being able to shop for jewelry without the hard sell that is all too common in many stores. It certainly helps that the store is in one of the high rises keeping you from the fray of St Vincent shops. I have purchased many items from this location: wedding sets, diamond pendants, eternity bands and more and I can’t be happier with the results.They are also very receptive to custom work Wholesale Costume Jewelry, have on site repairs and will work within your budget. More than anything the lack of pressure really makes this a fantastic place to buy jewelry.
This place is terrible. ?They advertise all these stones that they “can get you” but in order to do so they need a deposit before they can let you see these stones that they have “readily available.” ?At that point, might as well buy your diamond online. The worst part about it is that they’re expensive too. ? This place is a bait and switch operation.I’ve been to at least 20 stores till I found the best deals with great craftsmanship on a custom ring I designed. ?I’m extremely attentive to details as I design / manufacture furniture. ?I ended up registering as a diamond dealer and sourcing my own stones, cheaper than ALL of them. ?Go to Icing on the Ring, I’ve already bought 4 rings from them for diamonds I’ve sourced on my own.
Horrible place. A buddy dragged me there for a wedding ring. They sold me a diamond that had been broken and glued back together. They called it a flaw. I’ll say. ?Luckily my insurance was awesome and they fixed what these thieves sold to me.
My fiance and I went to Mon Cheri on a whim without an apointment. The staff were very welcoming, despite the fact that we came in about 30 minutes before the closing time. Magda and Natasha spent an hour with us helping us decide on what style worked best with my engagement ring. I tried on dozens of rings and, as mentioned in a review above, I did not feel any pressure to purchase anything. Magda and Natasha helped me chose the perfect band and gave us a great deal. I am so glad that we found them amongst all of the jewelers downtown and I feel that we got the best so much more for our money. I am completely satisfied with my experience with Mon Cheri Diamonds and have already referred a girlfriend to their store to pick out her ring!
This was the first location we stoped @ while shopping for a new band. ?I fell in love with a beautiful 3 carat band that was out of our price range. ? We walked away with their card, total carat weight and style. ?After walking around for a few hours and looking at very similar style bands we ended up back @ Mon cheri. The diamonds were of much higher quality and just beautiful. ?They must have seen the look on my face because they offered us an additional $200 off the original discounted price. ?You can walk around many of the other ‘marts’ but for quality stones and great customer service i def recommend Mon Cheri!
In my opinion, the biggest testament to the quality of a business is the amount of word of mouth referrals it gets. I was referred to Mon Cheri by my brother-in-law, who purchased my sister’s engagement ring there. I then purchased my wife’s engagement ring there as well. Without even asking my wife what kind of ring she wanted (in retrospect CZ Jewelry, a really risky move on my part), with the help and recommendations of the Mon Cheri staff, I purchased a beautiful cushion cut ring that my wife absolutely loves. I have since referred several of my friends to Mon Cheri. My point person was Vicki, who I understand is now semi-retired from the biz… but I hear the other staff members at Mon Cheri are just as affable and knowledgeable and will help you work within your budget. Mon Cheri is also a great place to purchase non-wedding related jewelry, such as the necklace I purchased for my mother on her birthday. Definitely the place to go to find a great deal on precious stones without sacrificing the quality.
